sevdesk's home stretch to making 'Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022'
Offenburg, 22 September 2022. sevdesk is a finalist for the prestigious ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022’ award, which will be presented for the 26th time to the best owner-managed companies in Germany. With the following ingredients for a young, successful company, sevdesk convinced the jury of the EY Business Award: The most popular accounting software from the cloud, which specifically addresses the needs of the self-employed for professionalism, two passionate founders and a start-up idea that has been successfully transformed into a scalable business model.
With heart and soul to market leader
Fabian Silberer and Marco Reinbold, the two founders and CEOs of sevdesk, qualified for the final of the competition in the ‘Young Companies’ category: ‘I am very proud of the award, which once again shows that we are on the right track,’ says Silberer happily. ‘As entrepreneurs, we are focussing on what we can do and what we love: Offering the best accounting software for self-employed people in German-speaking countries and constantly developing it further.’ Marco Reinbold adds: ‘We achieve this goal with a lot of passion, innovation and willingness to change - personally, but also for the organisation of sevdesk.’

Award ceremony in Berlin in November
In addition to sevdesk, a further 35 companies are looking forward to the award ceremony on 24 November 2022 at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin, hosted by journalist and TV presenter Judith Rakers. The companies will compete against each other in the categories ‘Family Business’, ‘Innovation’, ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Young Companies’. One of the winners will represent Germany at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 in Monaco. The programme also includes the awarding of an honorary prize for entrepreneurial and exceptional social commitment.
About the ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’ competition
In 2022, the auditing and consulting firm EY will honour the best owner-managed companies in Germany for the 26th time. An independent jury of renowned experts selects the winners based on the assessment criteria of business model sustainability, innovation, transformation, employee management and social responsibility. The competition is supported by recognised companies and media. These include the private banking and asset management group LGT, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and manager magazin. In addition to honouring successful business personalities, EY also promotes the next generation of entrepreneurs with the ‘EY NextGen Academy’ programme, which takes place at renowned international business schools.
